Our premium textiles are made for many washes and can be washed at up to 60 °C. Often, though, that is not necessary at all. With the right care you extend the life of your clothing even further while reducing energy and water consumption.
Here are our practical tips for you:
20 °C or 30 °C is often enough to get your clothing clean. That is gentler on the fibres, saves energy and lowers your electricity costs.
Let your clothing dry in the air. This reduces wear and lowers energy consumption.
Colours and prints stay vibrant for longer if you turn your clothing inside out before washing.
Save water and energy by loading the machine fully and using economical wash programmes.
Look for biodegradable detergents, for example those carrying the EU Ecolabel or the Blue Angel. Dose according to the manufacturer's instructions – this is gentler on textiles and avoids unnecessary discharge into waste water.
A washing machine filter or a wash bag can reduce the release of microfibres into waste water.
